I prayed beside the Prophet ﷺ while he was performing voluntary prayer at night. He passed by a verse mentioning punishment and said, "I seek refuge in Allah from the Fire. Woe to the people of the Fire."
حدثنا أبو بكر بن أبي شيبة حدثنا علي بن هاشم عن ابن أبي ليلى عن ثابت عن عبد الرحمن بن أبي ليلى
صليت إلى جنب النبي ﷺ وهو يصلي من الليل تطوعا فمر بآية عذاب فقال أعوذ بالله من النار وويل لأهل النار
[Its chain of transmission is daif. Abu Dawud narrated it in the Book of Prayer, chapter on supplication during prayer, no. 881, through the hadith of Muhammad bin Abu Layla with this wording. See also no. 854 regarding its defect.
