I heard a man ask Zayd bin Arqam, "Did you witness two Eids falling on the same day with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ?"He replied, "Yes."The man asked, "What did he do?"He said, "He performed the Eid prayer, then granted a concession regarding the Friday prayer, saying, 'Whoever wishes to pray it may do so.'"

سمعت رجلا سأل زيد بن أرقم هل شهدت مع رسول الله ﷺ عيدين في يوم قال نعم قال فكيف كان يصنع قال صلى العيد ثم رخص في الجمعة ثم قال من شاء أن يصلي فليصل
[Its isnad is hasan]. Abu Dawud reported it in the Book of Prayer, chapter on when the day of Jumuah coincides with the day of Eid, hadith 1070, from the hadith of Israil, with this chain. Ibn Khuzayma, Ibn Madini, Hakim, Dhahabi, and others graded it sahih.
