The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to walk to the Eid prayer and walk back.
حدثنا محمد بن الصباح أنبأنا عبد الرحمن بن عبد الله العمري عن أبيه وعبيد الله عن نافع
كان رسول الله ﷺ يخرج إلى العيد ماشيا ويرجع ماشيا
[Its chain is very daif]. Busiri said, "This chain contains Abdul-Rahman bin Abdullah Umari, who is daif, and he is discarded, as stated in Taqrib."
