The Prophet ﷺ used to walk to the Eid prayer and walk back.

أن النبي ﷺ كان يخرج إلى العيد ماشيا ويرجع ماشيا
Takhrij, [Its chain is daif]. Busiri graded it daif, see hadith 1101 for its defect. The hadith has daif corroborating narrations found in Tirmidhi, hadith 530, and elsewhere.
