Jabir bin Abdullah reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said on the day of Qurayzah, "Who will bring us news of the enemy?"Zubayr replied, "I will."The Prophet ﷺ asked again, "Who will bring us news of the enemy?"Zubayr replied, "I will."This happened three times, then the Prophet ﷺ said, "Every prophet has a loyal supporter, and my loyal supporter is Zubayr."

حدثنا علي بن محمد حدثنا وكيع حدثنا سفيان عن محمد بن المنكدر

عن جابر قال

قال رسول الله ﷺ يوم قريظة من يأتينا بخبر القوم فقال الزبير أنا فقال من يأتينا بخبر القوم فقال الزبير أنا ثلاثا فقال النبي ﷺ إن لكل نبي حواري وإن حواري الزبير

Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Jihad, Chapter on the Merit of the Scouting Party, no. 2846, 4113, and Muslim in the Book of the Merits of the Companions, Chapter on the Merits of Talha and Zubayr رضي الله عنهم , no. 2415, from the hadith of Sufyan Thawri, through this same chain.
