Saad bin Abu Waqqas reported,

Muawiya came during one of his pilgrimages, and Saad went in to see him. They mentioned Ali, and Muawiya spoke ill of him.Saad became angry and said, "You say this about a man whom I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say about, 'Whoever's master I am, Ali is his master.' And I heard him say to him, 'You are to me as Harun was to Musa, except that there is no prophet after me.' And I heard him say, 'Today I will give the banner to a man who loves Allah and His Messenger.'"

عن سعد بن أبي وقاص قال

قدم معاوية في بعض حجاته فدخل عليه سعد فذكروا عليا فنال منه فغضب سعد وقال تقول هذا لرجل سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول من كنت مولاه فعلي مولاه وسمعته يقول أنت مني بمنزلة هارون من موسى إلا أنه لا نبي بعدي وسمعته يقول لأعطين الراية اليوم رجلا يحب الله ورسوله
