The Messenger of Allah ﷺ established the prayer of the traveler as two units, and these are complete, not shortened, and the witr prayer during travel is a sunnah.
حدثنا إسمعيل بن موسى حدثنا شريك عن جابر عن عامر
سن رسول الله ﷺ صلاة السفر ركعتين وهما تمام غير قصر والوتر في السفر سنة
