Kaab bin Ujra reported,
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ mentioned a tribulation and described it as imminent. A man passed by with his head covered, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "This man will be upon guidance on that day."I jumped up and grabbed Uthman by his upper arms, then turned to face the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and asked, "This one?"He replied, "This one."

Sahihحدثنا علي بن محمد حدثنا عبد الله بن إدريس عن هشام بن حسان عن محمد بن سيرين
عن كعب بن عجرة قال
ذكر رسول الله ﷺ فتنة فقربها فمر رجل مقنع رأسه فقال رسول الله ﷺ هذا يومئذ على الهدى فوثبت فأخذت بضبعي عثمان ثم استقبلت رسول الله ﷺ فقلت هذا قال هذا
[Sahih] Ahmad narrated it: 4/243, from the hadith of Hisham with this wording, and Matar Warraq corroborated him, in Ahmad: 4/242. Busiri said, this isnad is disconnected. Abu Hatim said, Muhammad bin Sirin did not hear from Kaab bin Ujra. It has corroborating narrations in Tirmidhi, hadith 3704, and elsewhere.
