Whenever the Prophet ﷺ ascended the pulpit, he would give the greeting of peace.

[Its chain of transmission is daif]. Bayhaqi narrated it, 3/204, 205, 298, 299, from the hadith of Amr bin Khalid with the same wording, and he said, "Ibn Lahia alone narrated it." See hadith 330 for its defect. Busiri declared it daif. It has daif corroborating narrations from Abdul-Razzaq, Ibn Abu Shayba, and others.
