We were forbidden from forming rows between the pillars during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and we were firmly driven away from them.

[Hasan] * Harun is mastur (see Taqrib), and Qatada has been discussed previously, no. 175. Abu Dawud, no. 673, and others narrated it from Anas who said, "We used to guard against this in the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ," and it includes a story. Tirmidhi graded it hasan, and Hakim and Dhahabi graded it sahih, and its chain of transmission is sahih.
