In every prayer there is recitation. What the Messenger of Allah ﷺ recited aloud for us, we recite aloud for you, and what he recited silently to us, we recite silently for you. If you do not add anything beyond the Mother of the Quran, it suffices, but if you add to it, that is better.
حدثنا مسدد قال حدثنا إسماعيل بن إبراهيم قال أخبرنا ابن جريج قال أخبرني عطاء أنه سمع
في كل صلاة يقرأ فما أسمعنا رسول الله ﷺ أسمعناكم وما أخفى عنا أخفينا عنكم وإن لم تزد على أم القرآن أجزأت وإن زدت فهو خير
