My father and I went to visit Abu Barza al-Aslami and asked him about the times of the prayers.He said, "The Prophet ﷺ used to pray Dhuhr when the sun had passed its zenith, and Asr at a time when a man could return to the farthest part of Madinah while the sun was still vivid. I have forgotten what he said about Maghrib. He did not mind delaying Isha until the first third of the night, and he disliked sleeping before it or talking after it. He used to pray Fajr, after which a man could leave and recognize the person sitting beside him. He would recite between sixty and a hundred verses in the two rakahs, or in one of them."

دخلت أنا وأبي على أبي برزة الأسلمي فسألناه عن وقت الصلوات فقال كان النبي ﷺ يصلي الظهر حين تزول الشمس والعصر ويرجع الرجل إلى أقصى المدينة والشمس حية ونسيت ما قال في المغرب ولا يبالي بتأخير العشاء إلى ثلث الليل ولا يحب النوم قبلها ولا الحديث بعدها ويصلي الصبح فينصرف الرجل فيعرف جليسه وكان يقرأ في الركعتين أو إحداهما ما بين الستين إلى المائة
