The Prophet ﷺ used to supplicate during the night, "O Allah, to You belongs all praise. You are the Lord of the heavens and the earth. To You belongs all praise. You are the Sustainer of the heavens and the earth and all that is in them. To You belongs all praise. You are the Light of the heavens and the earth. Your word is truth, Your promise is truth, the meeting with You is truth, Paradise is truth, the Fire is truth, and the Hour is truth. O Allah, to You I have submitted, in You I have believed, upon You I have relied, to You I have turned in repentance, for Your sake I have disputed, and to You I have brought my judgment. So forgive me for what I have done in the past and what I will do in the future, what I have concealed and what I have made public. You are my God. There is no god for me besides You."Thabit bin Muhammad narrated to us, Sufyan narrated to us this same report, but he said, "You are the Truth and Your word is truth."
حدثنا قبيصة حدثنا سفيان عن ابن جريج عن سليمان عن طاوس
كان النبي ﷺ يدعو من الليل اللهم لك الحمد أنت رب السموات والأرض لك الحمد أنت قيم السموات والأرض ومن فيهن لك الحمد أنت نور السموات والأرض قولك الحق ووعدك الحق ولقاؤك حق والجنة حق والنار حق والساعة حق اللهم لك أسلمت وبك آمنت وعليك توكلت وإليك أنبت وبك خاصمت وإليك حاكمت فاغفر لي ما قدمت وما أخرت وأسررت وأعلنت أنت إلهي لا إله لي غيرك حدثنا ثابت بن محمد حدثنا سفيان بهذا وقال أنت الحق وقولك الحق
