Shaqiq bin Salama reported,

I was sitting with Abu Masud, Abu Musa, and Ammar when Abu Masud said, "There is none among your companions about whom, if I wished, I could not find something to criticize, except you. Yet I have not seen anything from you since you accompanied the Prophet ﷺ more objectionable to me than your haste in this matter."Ammar replied, "Abu Masud, I have not seen anything from you or from this companion of yours since you both accompanied the Prophet ﷺ more objectionable to me than your slowness in this matter."Abu Masud, who was a man of means, then said, "Boy, bring two garments." He gave one to Abu Musa and the other to Ammar and said, "Go in these to the Friday prayer."

كنت جالسا مع أبي مسعود وأبي موسى وعمار فقال أبو مسعود ما من أصحابك أحد إلا لو شئت لقلت فيه غيرك وما رأيت منك شيئا منذ صحبت النبي ﷺ أعيب عندي من استسراعك في هذا الأمر قال عمار يا أبا مسعود وما رأيت منك ولا من صاحبك هذا شيئا منذ صحبتما النبي ﷺ أعيب عندي من إبطائكما في هذا الأمر فقال أبو مسعود وكان موسرا يا غلام هات حلتين فأعطى إحداهما أبا موسى والأخرى عمارا وقال روحا فيه إلى الجمعة
