Someone said to Usama, "Why do you not speak to this man?"Usama replied, "I have already spoken to him, but not in a way that would open a door I would be the first to open. I am not one who, after a man becomes a ruler over two men, would say to him, 'You are the best,' after hearing the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'A man will be brought on the Day of Resurrection and cast into the Fire, and his intestines will spill out, and he will go around them as a donkey goes around a millstone. The people of the Fire will gather around him and say, 'So-and-so, did you not used to enjoin good and forbid evil?' He will reply, 'I used to enjoin good but not do it, and forbid evil but do it myself.''"

قيل لأسامة ألا تكلم هذا قال قد كلمته ما دون أن أفتح بابا أكون أول من يفتحه وما أنا بالذي أقول لرجل بعد أن يكون أميرا على رجلين أنت خير بعد ما سمعت من رسول الله ﷺ يقول يجاء برجل فيطرح في النار فيطحن فيها كطحن الحمار برحاه فيطيف به أهل النار فيقولون أي فلان ألست كنت تأمر بالمعروف وتنهى عن المنكر فيقول إني كنت آمر بالمعروف ولا أفعله وأنهى عن المنكر وأفعله
