Shaybani reported, I asked Abdullah bin Abu Awfa about stoning, and he said, "The Prophet ﷺ carried out the stoning."I asked, "Was that before Surah an-Nur or after it?"He replied, "I do not know."Ali bin Mushir, Khalid bin Abdullah, Muharibi, and Ubayda bin Humayd corroborated this from Shaybani. Some of them said al-Maidah, but the first version is more accurate.
