A man from the tribe of Aslam came to the Prophet ﷺ and confessed to adultery. The Prophet ﷺ turned away from him until he had testified against himself four times.The Prophet ﷺ asked him, "Are you insane?"He replied, "No."The Prophet ﷺ asked, "Are you married?"He replied, "Yes."So the Prophet ﷺ ordered that he be stoned, and he was stoned at the prayer ground. When the stones tormented him, he fled, but he was caught and stoned until he died. The Prophet ﷺ spoke well of him and prayed over him.Yunus and Ibn Jurayj did not say in their narration from Zuhri, "and he prayed over him."Abu Abdullah was asked, "Is the wording 'and he prayed over him' authentic?"He replied, "Muamar narrated it."It was said to him, "Did anyone other than Muamar narrate it?"He replied, "No."
حدثني محمود حدثنا عبد الرزاق أخبرنا معمر عن الزهري عن أبي سلمة
أن رجلا من أسلم جاء النبي ﷺ فاعترف بالزنا فأعرض عنه النبي ﷺ حتى شهد على نفسه أربع مرات قال له النبي ﷺ أبك جنون قال لا قال آحصنت قال نعم فأمر به فرجم بالمصلى فلما أذلقته الحجارة فر فأدرك فرجم حتى مات فقال له النبي ﷺ خيرا وصلى عليه لم يقل يونس وابن جريج عن الزهري فصلى عليه سئل أبو عبد الله فصلى عليه يصح قال رواه معمر قيل له رواه غير معمر قال لا
