The people of Qurayza agreed to surrender on condition that they would accept the judgment of Saad. The Prophet ﷺ sent for him, and when he arrived, the Prophet said, "Stand up for your master," or he said, "for the best among you."Saad sat down beside the Prophet ﷺ, who said to him, "These people have surrendered on the condition of accepting your judgment."Saad said, "Then I judge that their fighting men be killed and their women and children taken captive."The Prophet ﷺ said, "You have judged according to the ruling of the King."Abu Abdullah said, One of my companions related to me from Abu Walid the portion of Abu Saeed's narration up to the words "your judgment."
حدثنا أبو الوليد حدثنا شعبة عن سعد بن إبراهيم عن أبي أمامة بن سهل بن حنيف
أن أهل قريظة نزلوا على حكم سعد فأرسل النبي ﷺ إليه فجاء فقال قوموا إلى سيدكم أو قال خيركم فقعد عند النبي ﷺ فقال هؤلاء نزلوا على حكمك قال فإني أحكم أن تقتل مقاتلتهم وتسبى ذراريهم فقال لقد حكمت بما حكم به الملك قال أبو عبد الله أفهمني بعض أصحابي عن أبي الوليد من قول أبي سعيد إلى حكمك
