The Prophet ﷺ said, "It is not lawful for a Muslim to shun his brother for more than three days, where they meet and one turns away and the other turns away. The better of the two is the one who initiates the greeting."Sufyan mentioned that he heard it from him three times.
حدثنا علي بن عبد الله حدثنا سفيان عن الزهري عن عطاء بن يزيد الليثي
عن النبي ﷺ قال لا يحل لمسلم أن يهجر أخاه فوق ثلاث يلتقيان فيصد هذا ويصد هذا وخيرهما الذي يبدأ بالسلام وذكر سفيان أنه سمعه منه ثلاث مرات
