A boy was born to one of our men, and he named him Qasim. The people said, "We will not give him this kunya until we ask the Prophet ﷺ."The Prophet ﷺ said, "Name your children with my name, but do not take my kunya."
حدثنا مسدد حدثنا خالد حدثنا حصين عن سالم
ولد لرجل منا غلام فسماه القاسم فقالوا لا نكنيه حتى نسأل النبي ﷺ فقال سموا باسمي ولا تكتنوا بكنيتي
