I never heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ offer his parents as ransom for anyone except Saad. I heard him say to him, "Shoot, may my father and mother be your ransom." I think this was on the day of Uhud.

ما سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يفدي أحدا غير سعد سمعته يقول ارم فداك أبي وأمي أظنه يوم أحد
