Aflah, the brother of Abu Quays, sought permission to enter upon me after the verse of hijab had been revealed. I said, "By Allah, I will not grant him permission until I seek the permission of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, for it was not Abu Quays's brother who nursed me, but rather Abu Quays's wife who nursed me."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then came in to me, and I said, "Messenger of Allah, the man himself did not nurse me, but his wife did."He said, "Grant him permission, for he is your uncle. May your hands be filled with dust."Urwa said, "It was for this reason that Ayesha used to say, 'Consider forbidden through nursing what is forbidden through lineage.'"

إن أفلح أخا أبي القعيس استأذن علي بعد ما نزل الحجاب فقلت والله لا آذن له حتى أستأذن رسول الله ﷺ فإن أخا أبي القعيس ليس هو أرضعني ولكن أرضعتني امرأة أبي القعيس فدخل علي رسول الله ﷺ فقلت يا رسول الله إن الرجل ليس هو أرضعني ولكن أرضعتني امرأته قال ائذني له فإنه عمك تربت يمينك قال عروة فبذلك كانت عائشة تقول حرموا من الرضاعة ما يحرم من النسب
