A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "I hold back from the dawn prayer because of so-and-so, for he prolongs it on us."The narrator said, I never saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ more angry while delivering an admonition than he was that day.He said, "People, some among you drive others away. Whoever leads the people in prayer should keep it short, for among them are the sick, the elderly, and those with pressing needs."

أتى رجل النبي ﷺ فقال إني لأتأخر عن صلاة الغداة من أجل فلان مما يطيل بنا قال فما رأيت رسول الله ﷺ قط أشد غضبا في موعظة منه يومئذ قال فقال يا أيها الناس إن منكم منفرين فأيكم ما صلى بالناس فليتجوز فإن فيهم المريض والكبير وذا الحاجة
