Muaz bin Jabal reported,

While I was riding behind the Prophet ﷺ, with nothing between me and him but the back of the saddle, he said, "Muaz bin Jabal."I replied, "At your service, Messenger of Allah, and at your pleasure."He rode on for a while, then said, "Muaz."I replied, "At your service, Messenger of Allah, and at your pleasure."He rode on for a while, then said, "Muaz."I replied, "At your service, Messenger of Allah, and at your pleasure."He asked, "Do you know what Allah's right is over His servants?"I said, "Allah and His Messenger know best."He said, "Allah's right over His servants is that they worship Him and associate nothing with Him."He rode on for a while, then said, "Muaz bin Jabal."I replied, "At your service, Messenger of Allah, and at your pleasure."He asked, "Do you know what the servants' right is upon Allah if they do that?"I said, "Allah and His Messenger know best."He said, "The servants' right upon Allah is that He will not punish them."
