The Prophet of Allah ﷺ intended to write to a group of foreign people. He was told that they would not accept a letter unless it bore a seal. So the Prophet ﷺ had a silver ring made, engraved with "Muhammad, Messenger of Allah." It is as if I can still see the gleam of the ring on the finger of the Prophet ﷺ, or in his palm.
