Umm Qays bint Muhsin, who was among the first women emigrants to pledge allegiance to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and the sister of Ukkasha bin Muhsin, reported that she once brought a young son of hers to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ after she had pressed his uvula with her finger to treat a throat ailment. He said, "Fear Allah regarding the way you press your children's throats to treat this affliction.
