The Messenger of Allah ﷺ delayed the night prayer until Umar called out to him, "The prayer! The women and children have fallen asleep."He came out and said, "No one on earth is waiting for this prayer except you."In those days, the prayer was not performed anywhere except in Madinah, and they used to pray it between the disappearance of the twilight and the end of the first third of the night.
