The Prophet ﷺ visited a man from the Ansar, accompanied by a companion of his. The Prophet ﷺ and his companion greeted him with salam, and the man returned the greeting.He said, "Messenger of Allah, may my father and mother be ransomed for you. It is a hot hour." He was diverting water through his garden at the time.The Prophet ﷺ said, "If you have water that has spent the night in a waterskin, bring it. Otherwise we will drink directly from the source." The man was still channeling the water through his garden.The man replied, "Messenger of Allah, I have water that has spent the night in a waterskin." He went off to the trellised shelter, poured water into a cup, then milked one of his domestic animals into it. The Prophet ﷺ drank, then handed it back, and the man who had come with him drank.
حدثنا يحيى بن صالح حدثنا فليح بن سليمان عن سعيد بن الحارث
أن النبي ﷺ دخل على رجل من الأنصار ومعه صاحب له فسلم النبي ﷺ وصاحبه فرد الرجل فقال يا رسول الله بأبي أنت وأمي وهي ساعة حارة وهو يحول في حائط له يعني الماء فقال النبي ﷺ إن كان عندك ماء بات في شنة وإلا كرعنا والرجل يحول الماء في حائط فقال الرجل يا رسول الله عندي ماء بات في شنة فانطلق إلى العريش فسكب في قدح ماء ثم حلب عليه من داجن له فشرب النبي ﷺ ثم أعاد فشرب الرجل الذي جاء معه
