The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I was taken up to the Lote Tree, and there I saw four rivers, two visible and two hidden. The two visible ones were the Nile and the Euphrates, and the two hidden ones were two rivers in Paradise. Then I was brought three cups, one containing milk, one containing honey, and one containing wine. I took the one with milk and drank from it, and it was said to me, 'You have attained the natural way (fitrah), you and your nation.'"Hisham, Saeed, and Hammam reported a similar narration from Qatada, from Anas bin Malik, from Malik bin Sasaa, from the Prophet ﷺ regarding the rivers, but they did not mention the three cups.
وقال إبراهيم بن طهمان عن شعبة عن قتادة
قال رسول الله ﷺ رفعت إلى السدرة فإذا أربعة أنهار نهران ظاهران ونهران باطنان فأما الظاهران النيل والفرات وأما الباطنان فنهران في الجنة فأتيت بثلاثة أقداح قدح فيه لبن وقدح فيه عسل وقدح فيه خمر فأخذت الذي فيه اللبن فشربت فقيل لي أصبت الفطرة أنت وأمتك قال هشام وسعيد وهمام عن قتادة عن أنس بن مالك عن مالك بن صعصعة عن النبي ﷺ في الأنهار نحوه ولم يذكروا ثلاثة أقداح
