Adi bin Hatim reported,

I asked the Prophet ﷺ about game struck by a featherless arrow. He replied, "Whatever it strikes with its sharp edge, eat it. But whatever it strikes with its broadside is considered as having been killed by a blunt force, so do not eat it."I also asked him about game caught by a hunting dog.He said, "Whatever it catches for you, eat it, for the dog's catching of it serves as its slaughter. But if you find another dog with your own dog or dogs and you fear that this other dog may have helped catch the prey and killed it, then do not eat it, for you mentioned the name of Allah only over your own dog, not over the other one."
