He informed him that he saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ cutting a piece from a shoulder of mutton in his hand. Then he was called to prayer, so he put it down along with the knife he had been cutting with, then he stood up and prayed without performing ablution.
حدثنا أبو اليمان أخبرنا شعيب عن الزهري وقال الليث حدثني يونس عن ابن شهاب قال أخبرني جعفر بن عمرو بن أمية أن
أخبره أنه رأى رسول الله ﷺ يحتز من كتف شاة في يده فدعي إلى الصلاة فألقاها والسكين التي كان يحتز بها ثم قام فصلى ولم يتوضأ
