While the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was standing in prayer at the Kaabah, with a gathering of Quraysh sitting in their assemblies, one of them said, "Do you not see this show-off? Which of you will go to the slaughtered camel of so-and-so's family, fetch its dung, blood, and afterbirth, then wait until he prostrates and place it between his shoulders?"The most wretched of them sprang up, and when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prostrated, he placed it between his shoulders. The Prophet ﷺ remained in prostration, while they laughed so hard that they leaned on one another from laughter.Someone went off to Fatimah, peace be upon her, who was just a young girl, and she came running. The Prophet ﷺ remained in prostration until she removed it from him, then she turned on them and began to curse them.When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ finished the prayer, he said, "Allah, deal with Quraysh. Allah, deal with Quraysh. Allah, deal with Quraysh." Then he named them, "Allah, deal with Amr bin Hisham, Utba bin Rabia, Shayba bin Rabia, Walid bin Utba, Umaya bin Khalaf, Uqba bin Abu Muayt, and Umara bin Walid."Abdullah said, "By Allah, I saw them slain on the day of Badr, then dragged to the well, the well of Badr." Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "And the people of the well were pursued by a curse."

بينما رسول الله ﷺ قائم يصلي عند الكعبة وجمع قريش في مجالسهم إذ قال قائل منهم ألا تنظرون إلى هذا المرائي أيكم يقوم إلى جزور آل فلان فيعمد إلى فرثها ودمها وسلاها فيجيء به ثم يمهله حتى إذا سجد وضعه بين كتفيه فانبعث أشقاهم فلما سجد رسول الله ﷺ وضعه بين كتفيه وثبت النبي ﷺ ساجدا فضحكوا حتى مال بعضهم إلى بعض من الضحك فانطلق منطلق إلى فاطمة عليها السلام وهي جويرية فأقبلت تسعى وثبت النبي ﷺ ساجدا حتى ألقته عنه وأقبلت عليهم تسبهم فلما قضى رسول الله ﷺ الصلاة قال اللهم عليك بقريش اللهم عليك بقريش اللهم عليك بقريش ثم سمى اللهم عليك بعمرو بن هشام وعتبة بن ربيعة وشيبة بن ربيعة والوليد بن عتبة وأمية بن خلف وعقبة بن أبي معيط وعمارة بن الوليد قال عبد الله فوالله لقد رأيتهم صرعى يوم بدر ثم سحبوا إلى القليب قليب بدر ثم قال رسول الله ﷺ وأتبع أصحاب القليب لعنة
