A man stood in prayer during the time of the Prophet ﷺ and recited from the time before dawn, "Say, He is Allah, the One," reciting nothing beyond it. When morning came, the man went to the Prophet ﷺ and mentioned this to him.
وزاد أبو معمر حدثنا إسماعيل بن جعفر عن مالك بن أنس عن عبد الرحمن بن عبد الله بن عبد الرحمن بن أبي صعصعة عن أبيه عن أبي سعيد الخدري أخبرني
أن رجلا قام في زمن النبي ﷺ يقرأ من السحر قل هو الله أحد لا يزيد عليها فلما أصبحنا أتى الرجل النبي ﷺ نحوه
