By the One besides whom there is no god, no surah of the Book of Allah was revealed without my knowing where it was revealed, and no verse of the Book of Allah was revealed without my knowing concerning what it was revealed. If I knew of anyone more knowledgeable than me about the Book of Allah whom camels could reach, I would ride to him.

الذي لا إله غيره ما أنزلت سورة من كتاب الله إلا أنا أعلم أين أنزلت ولا أنزلت آية من كتاب الله إلا أنا أعلم فيم أنزلت ولو أعلم أحدا أعلم مني بكتاب الله تبلغه الإبل لركبت إليه
