The Prophet ﷺ was the most generous of people in doing good, and he was at his most generous during the month of Ramadan, because Jibreel used to meet him every night during Ramadan until the month ended, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ would recite the Quran to him. When Jibreel met him, he was more generous with goodness than the sweeping wind.
حدثنا يحيى بن قزعة حدثنا إبراهيم بن سعد عن الزهري عن عبيد الله بن عبد الله
كان النبي ﷺ أجود الناس بالخير وأجود ما يكون في شهر رمضان لأن جبريل كان يلقاه في كل ليلة في شهر رمضان حتى ينسلخ يعرض عليه رسول الله ﷺ القرآن فإذا لقيه جبريل كان أجود بالخير من الريح المرسلة
