We pledged allegiance to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he recited to us, "that they will not associate anything with Allah" [Mumtahanah 60:12], and he forbade us from wailing over the dead. One woman withdrew her hand and said, "So-and-so helped me in my mourning, and I want to repay her." The Prophet ﷺ said nothing to her. She left, then returned, and he accepted her pledge.

بايعنا رسول الله ﷺ فقرأ علينا {أن لا يشركن بالله شيئا} ونهانا عن النياحة فقبضت امرأة يدها فقالت أسعدتني فلانة أريد أن أجزيها فما قال لها النبي ﷺ شيئا فانطلقت ورجعت فبايعها
