Whenever he saw a cloud or a wind, the change would show in his face. Ayesha said, "Messenger of Allah, when people see a cloud they rejoice, hoping it will bring rain, yet I see that when you see it, displeasure shows in your face."He replied, "Ayesha, what assurance do I have that it does not carry punishment? A people were punished by a wind. A people saw the punishment and said, 'This is a cloud bringing us rain'" [Ahqaf 46:24].
قالت وكان إذا رأى غيما أو ريحا عرف في وجهه قالت يا رسول الله إن الناس إذا رأوا الغيم فرحوا رجاء أن يكون فيه المطر وأراك إذا رأيته عرف في وجهك الكراهية فقال يا عائشة ما يؤمني أن يكون فيه عذاب عذب قوم بالريح وقد رأى قوم العذاب فقالوا {هذا عارض ممطرنا}
