A necklace of mine fell at Bayda as we were entering Madinah. The Prophet ﷺ made his camel kneel and dismounted, then he laid his head in my lap and went to sleep.Abu Bakr came over and gave me a hard jab, saying, "You have detained the people over a necklace!" I was in agony, but I held still because of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ resting on me, even though Abu Bakr had truly hurt me.Then the Prophet ﷺ woke up, and the time for the morning prayer had come. Water was sought but none could be found, so the verse was revealed, "You who believe, when you rise to pray..." [Maidah 5:6].Usayd bin Hudayr said, "Allah has surely blessed the people through you, family of Abu Bakr. You are nothing but a blessing for them."
حدثنا يحيى بن سليمان قال حدثني ابن وهب قال أخبرني عمرو أن عبد الرحمن بن القاسم حدثه عن أبيه
سقطت قلادة لي بالبيداء ونحن داخلون المدينة فأناخ النبي ﷺ ونزل فثنى رأسه في حجري راقدا أقبل أبو بكر فلكزني لكزة شديدة وقال حبست الناس في قلادة فبي الموت لمكان رسول الله ﷺ وقد أوجعني ثم إن النبي ﷺ استيقظ وحضرت الصبح فالتمس الماء فلم يوجد فنزلت {يا أيها الذين آمنوا إذا قمتم إلى الصلاة} الآية فقال أسيد بن حضير لقد بارك الله للناس فيكم يا آل أبي بكر ما أنتم إلا بركة لهم
