Ayesha reported,

The Prophet ﷺ died in my house, on my day, and between my chest and my neck. Whenever one of us fell ill, she would seek protection for him with a supplication, so I went to seek protection for him, but he raised his head toward the sky and said, "With the highest companion, with the highest companion."Abdul-Rahman bin Abu Bakr passed by, holding a fresh palm-stick in his hand. The Prophet ﷺ looked at it, and I thought he wanted it, so I took it, chewed its tip, and shook it out, then handed it to him. He cleaned his teeth with it in the finest manner he had ever done, then he passed it back to me. His hand fell, or it fell from his hand. So Allah joined my saliva with his on the last day of this world and the first day of the next.
