When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ arrived in Mecca, he refused to enter the House while the idols were inside it, so he ordered that they be removed. An image of Ibrahim and Ismail was brought out, both of them holding divining arrows in their hands. The Prophet ﷺ said, "May Allah destroy them. By Allah, they knew that these two never sought divination by arrows."Then he entered the House and pronounced the takbir in its corners, then he came out without performing prayer inside it.Muamar followed this narration from Ayub, and Wahib said, Ayub narrated to us from Ikrima from the Prophet ﷺ.
حدثني إسحاق حدثنا عبد الصمد قال حدثني أبي حدثنا أيوب عن عكرمة
أن رسول الله ﷺ لما قدم مكة أبى أن يدخل البيت وفيه الآلهة فأمر بها فأخرجت فأخرج صورة إبراهيم وإسماعيل في أيديهما من الأزلام فقال النبي ﷺ قاتلهم الله لقد علموا ما استقسما بها قط ثم دخل البيت فكبر في نواحي البيت وخرج ولم يصل فيه تابعه معمر عن أيوب وقال وهيب حدثنا أيوب عن عكرمة عن النبي ﷺ
