Abdullah bin Abbas reported,

He informed him that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ led the expedition of the Conquest during Ramadan. He said, "I heard Saeed bin Musayab say the same."Ubaydullah bin Abdullah reported that Ibn Abbas said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ fasted until he reached al-Kadid, a watering place between Qudayd and Usfan, then he broke his fast and continued without fasting until the end of the month."

أخبره أن رسول الله ﷺ غزا غزوة الفتح في رمضان قال وسمعت سعيد بن المسيب يقول مثل ذلك وعن عبيد الله بن عبد الله أخبره أن ابن عباس رضي الله عنهما قال صام رسول الله ﷺ حتى إذا بلغ الكديد الماء الذي بين قديد وعسفان أفطر فلم يزل مفطرا حتى انسلخ الشهر
