Abban bin Saeed reported,

He came to the Prophet ﷺ and greeted him. Abu Hurairah said, "Messenger of Allah, this is the killer of Ibn Qawqal."Abban said to Abu Hurairah, "How astonishing it is from you! A small creature scurrying down from the peaks of Qadum Dan reproaches me concerning a man whom Allah honored through my hand and prevented from humiliating me by his hand."

حدثنا موسى بن إسماعيل حدثنا عمرو بن يحيى بن سعيد قال أخبرني جدي أن

أبان بن سعيد

أقبل إلى النبي ﷺ فسلم عليه فقال أبو هريرة يا رسول الله هذا قاتل ابن قوقل وقال أبان لأبي هريرة واعجبا لك وبر تدأدأ من قدوم ضأن ينعى علي امرأ أكرمه الله بيدي ومنعه أن يهينني بيده
