They were with the Prophet ﷺ when they came upon some donkeys and cooked them. Then the crier of the Prophet ﷺ called out, "Overturn the pots."
حدثنا حجاج بن منهال حدثنا شعبة قال أخبرني عدي بن ثابت
أنهم كانوا مع النبي ﷺ فأصابوا حمرا فطبخوها فنادى منادي النبي ﷺ أكفئوا القدور
