He reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to wrap two men from those killed at Uhud in a single garment, then ask, "Which of them had memorized more of the Quran?" When one of them was indicated to him, he would place that one first in the grave and say, "I will be a witness for these on the Day of Resurrection." He ordered that they be buried in their blood, and they were neither washed nor prayed over.
