The time for prayer arrived, so those whose homes were near the mosque went to perform ablution, while a group remained behind. The Prophet ﷺ was brought a stone basin containing water. He placed his hand in it, but the basin was too small for him to spread his hand inside, so he drew his fingers together and placed them in the basin. The entire group performed ablution from it.I asked, "How many were they?"He replied, "Eighty men."

حضرت الصلاة فقام من كان قريب الدار من المسجد يتوضأ وبقي قوم فأتي النبي ﷺ بمخضب من حجارة فيه ماء فوضع كفه فصغر المخضب أن يبسط فيه كفه فضم أصابعه فوضعها في المخضب فتوضأ القوم كلهم جميعا قلت كم كانوا قال ثمانون رجلا
