Abu Hurairah reported,

Muhammad narrated to me, Abdullah bin Raja narrated to us, Hammam informed us from Ishaq bin Abdullah, who said, Abdul-Rahman bin Abu Amra informed me that Abu Hurayra رضي الله عنه told him that he heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say,"There were three men among the Children of Israel: a leper, a bald man, and a blind man. Allah عز وجل willed to test them, so He sent an angel to them. The angel came to the leper and asked, 'What is most dear to you?'He replied, 'A fine complexion, fine skin, and that this condition which makes people find me repulsive be removed from me.'So the angel wiped him, and his condition departed, and he was given a fine complexion and fine skin. The angel then asked, 'Which kind of wealth is most dear to you?'He answered, 'Camels.' Or perhaps he said, 'Cattle.' Ishaq was uncertain about this, saying that one of them, the leper or the bald man, said camels and the other said cattle. So he was given a pregnant she-camel, and the angel said, 'May Allah bless you in it.'Then the angel came to the bald man and asked, 'What is most dear to you?'He replied, 'Fine hair, and that this condition which makes people find me repulsive be removed from me.'So the angel wiped him, and his condition departed, and he was given fine hair. The angel then asked, 'Which kind of wealth is most dear to you?'He answered, 'Cattle.'So he gave him a pregnant cow and said, 'May Allah bless you in it.'Then the angel came to the blind man and asked, 'What is most dear to you?'He replied, 'That Allah restore my sight to me so I may see people.'So the angel wiped him, and Allah restored his sight. The angel then asked, 'Which kind of wealth is most dear to you?'He answered, 'Sheep.'So he gave him a pregnant ewe.The camel and the cow gave birth, and the ewe lambed, until the first man had a valley full of camels, the second a valley full of cattle, and the third a valley full of sheep. Then the angel came to the leper in his former form and appearance and said, 'I am a poor man whose means have been cut off during my journey, so today I have no way to reach my destination except through Allah, then through you. I ask you, by the One who gave you the fine complexion, the fine skin, and the wealth, for a camel by which I may complete my journey.'The man replied, 'I have many obligations.'The angel said, 'It seems I know you. Were you not a leper whom people found repulsive, a poor man, and then Allah gave you wealth?'He responded, 'I inherited this wealth from a long line of ancestors.'The angel said, 'If you are lying, may Allah return you to what you were.'Then the angel came to the bald man in his former form and appearance and said to him the same as he had said to the first, and the man gave him a similar response. So the angel said, 'If you are lying, may Allah return you to what you were.'Then the angel came to the blind man in his former form and said, 'I am a poor man, a traveler, and my means have been cut off during my journey, so today I have no way to reach my destination except through Allah, then through you. I ask you, by the One who restored your sight, for a sheep by which I may complete my journey.'The man said, 'I was indeed blind, and Allah restored my sight, and I was poor, and He has made me wealthy. So take whatever you wish. By Allah, I will not burden you today by reclaiming anything you take for the sake of Allah.'The angel said, 'Keep your wealth, for you have only been tested. Allah is pleased with you and displeased with your two companions.'"
