In this very mosque, and we have not forgotten since he narrated it to us, nor do we fear that Jundab lied against the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.He said that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Among those who came before you was a man who had a wound. He became impatient, took a knife, and slashed his hand with it. The blood did not stop flowing until he died. Allah the Exalted said, 'My servant hastened against himself, so I have forbidden Paradise to him.'"
حدثني محمد قال حدثني حجاج حدثنا جرير عن الحسن حدثنا
في هذا المسجد وما نسينا منذ حدثنا وما نخشى أن يكون جندب كذب على رسول الله ﷺ قال قال رسول الله ﷺ كان فيمن كان قبلكم رجل به جرح فجزع فأخذ سكينا فحز بها يده فما رقأ الدم حتى مات قال الله تعالى بادرني عبدي بنفسه حرمت عليه الجنة
