We set out at the time of the new moon of Dhul-Hijjah, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever wishes to enter ihram for umrah may do so, for had I not brought a sacrificial animal with me, I would have entered ihram for umrah."Some of us entered ihram for umrah, and others for hajj. I was among those who entered ihram for umrah. Then the day of Arafah came upon me while I was menstruating, so I complained about this to the Prophet ﷺ.He said, "Set aside your umrah, undo your hair, comb it, and enter ihram for hajj."So I did. Then on the night of Hasbah, he sent my brother Abdul-Rahman bin Abu Bakr with me, and I went out to Tanim, where I entered ihram for an umrah in place of my original umrah.Hisham said, "There was nothing required for any of that, neither sacrifice, nor fasting, nor charity."
حدثنا عبيد بن إسماعيل قال حدثنا أبو أسامة عن هشام عن أبيه
خرجنا موافين لهلال ذي الحجة فقال رسول الله ﷺ من أحب أن يهل بعمرة فليهلل فإني لولا أني أهديت لأهللت بعمرة فأهل بعضهم بعمرة وأهل بعضهم بحج وكنت أنا ممن أهل بعمرة فأدركني يوم عرفة وأنا حائض فشكوت إلى النبي ﷺ فقال دعي عمرتك وانقضي رأسك وامتشطي وأهلي بحج ففعلت حتى إذا كان ليلة الحصبة أرسل معي أخي عبد الرحمن بن أبي بكر فخرجت إلى التنعيم فأهللت بعمرة مكان عمرتي قال هشام ولم يكن في شيء من ذلك هدي ولا صوم ولا صدقة
