A woman asked the Prophet ﷺ about how to perform the ritual bath after menstruation, and he instructed her how to wash herself. He said, "Take a piece of cloth scented with musk and purify yourself with it."She asked, "How do I purify myself with it?"He said, "Purify yourself with it."She asked again, "How?"He said, "Glory be to Allah, purify yourself."So I pulled her aside and told her, "Follow the traces of blood with it."
حدثنا يحيى قال حدثنا ابن عيينة عن منصور بن صفية عن أمه
أن امرأة سألت النبي ﷺ عن غسلها من المحيض فأمرها كيف تغتسل قال خذي فرصة من مسك فتطهري بها قالت كيف أتطهر قال تطهري بها قالت كيف قال سبحان الله تطهري فاجتبذتها إلي فقلت تتبعي بها أثر الدم
