The Prophet ﷺ stood among us and mentioned the misappropriation of war spoils, treating it as a grave matter of immense importance. He said, "Let me not find any of you on the Day of Resurrection with a bleating sheep on his neck, calling out, 'Messenger of Allah, help me!' and I will say, 'I have no power to help you. I conveyed the message to you.'Or with a neighing horse on his neck, saying, 'Messenger of Allah, help me!' and I will say, 'I have no power to help you. I conveyed the message to you.'Or with a grunting camel on his neck, saying, 'Messenger of Allah, help me!' and I will say, 'I have no power to help you. I conveyed the message to you.'Or with silent gold and silver on his neck, and he says, 'Messenger of Allah, help me!' and I will say, 'I have no power to help you. I conveyed the message to you.'Or with fluttering rags of cloth on his neck, and he says, 'Messenger of Allah, help me!' and I will say, 'I have no power to help you. I conveyed the message to you.'"Ayub reported from Abu Hayan, "a horse with its neighing."
حدثنا مسدد حدثنا يحيى عن أبي حيان قال حدثني أبو زرعة قال حدثني
قام فينا النبي ﷺ فذكر الغلول فعظمه وعظم أمره قال لا ألفين أحدكم يوم القيامة على رقبته شاة لها ثغاء على رقبته فرس له حمحمة يقول يا رسول الله أغثني فأقول لا أملك لك شيئا قد أبلغتك وعلى رقبته بعير له رغاء يقول يا رسول الله أغثني فأقول لا أملك لك شيئا قد أبلغتك وعلى رقبته صامت فيقول يا رسول الله أغثني فأقول لا أملك لك شيئا قد أبلغتك أو على رقبته رقاع تخفق فيقول يا رسول الله أغثني فأقول لا أملك لك شيئا قد أبلغتك وقال أيوب عن أبي حيان فرس له حمحمة
